Activity #6: Skeletal Muscles Introduction The easiest way to learn the muscle names and movements is to get off the couch and get moving! The type of movement a skeletal muscle produces depends on the way the muscle attaches on either side of a joint. Remember, the bulk of a skeletal muscle lies proximal to the joint crossed. Name, locate, and identify on a cadaver image or model, the major muscles of the human body and state one action of each. Materials Needed · A partner to record your skeletal muscle movements Directions 1. Set-Up a. Write the actions of each skeletal muscle listed in Table 1. 2. Video a. Have your partner video you demonstrating the action of each skeletal muscle you listed in Table 1. Say the name of the muscle and the action while you perform the movement. b. Once finished making the video, post the video to your YouTube channel. 3. Take the APR practice quiz. 4.
