W1 Wired Vs. Wireless Networks – ONLINE Assessment Description In this assignment, students will create a presentation on how the wireless network OSI model differs from a wired network, as well as address the various security risks associated with wireless Networks. Directions: Based on the topic readings, create a slideshow presentation (using PowerPoint or a similar software) comparing how the wireless network OSI model differs from a wired network. Include: 1. The differences between wired and wireless networks. How doses the OSI model differ at the physical and data link layers? 2. Comparison of the security risk on a wireless network vs. a wired network. 3. Description of the unique security and operational attributes in the wireless environment and their effects on network communications.  4. Examination of the mitigation strategies and tools that can be implemented to lessen the security risks associated with wireless networks.
