DISCUSSION1.Evidence-based practice should be factored into our daily routine care as a nurse because it is an approach to providing nursing care using the most current research to improve the patient’s well-being and safety. EBP also allows nurses to involve the patient in care planning while promoting the patient’s autonomy. Evidence-based practice also allows nurses have updated information in making the right decision when providing care to their patients. Nurses should use evidence-based practice as a problem-solving approach for diagnosis and treatment. Hence it is very important as nurses to use evidence-based practice in our daily routine care. 2.Evidence based practice is the act of making decisions about a patient care that draw on an understanding of the best currently available evidence on the topic..Nurses should include evidence based practice into their daily routine because it allows for the Healthcare professionals to develop best practice in treating common illnesses and disease. it reduce variation in treatment and increases positive outcomes and recovery.using ( EBP) helps the nurses rest well at night because they use the regimen of the practice that was proven. it limits the number of errors because you are using what has been proven many times although it may be for different patients. it reduce costs and streamline care. you want have to do unnecessary procedures because you are aware of what already works. the greatest of them all is that it reduce the chance of complications from treatment, it not trail and error practice because it was once researched and approved. it allow nurses to make good decision making practice. it also promotes you to learn as a nurse because medical care and research evolves, Just like new diseases emerges. (covid) 3.Nurses can use an EBP (Evidence-based Practice) strategy to address concerns and make clinical decisions based on the best available evidence. EBP combines clinical competence, patient values and preferences, and scientific research to improve patient care. Every one of our patients receives the best care we can offer (Mena-Tudela et al., 2018). The first step in using EBP is to ask a query about a specific therapeutic area of interest. There are five phases in all.One of the first things to do is to ask a clinical question. The second step should acquire the best and most important evidence.Step 3: Carefully consider the evidence. You can determine whether or not to make a change by considering the evidence, your professional skills, the patient’s choices, and your values. The procedure’s last stage is to evaluate new or revised practices.Nurses should use evidence-based practice since it is the most effective way to care for patients. EBP should be used in two distinct but interconnected ways. When making educational decisions, the outcomes of the extensive study are considered(Ratish,2019). As a certified nurse, I am responsible for applying the most effective, clinically proven approaches to ensure that every patient receives the best care possible. It is critical to note that establishing EBPs does not guarantee their use or a positive outcome. 4.Evidence-based practice is a process used to review, analyze, and translate the latest scientific evidence. The goal is to quickly incorporate the best available research, clinical experience, and patient preference into clinical practice so that nurses can make informed patient-care decisions (Dang et al.,2022). To provide the best possible care to patients, nurses rely on evidence-based practice.Evidence-based practice enables nurses to continue improving patient outcomes while weighing each patient’s preferences and experiences since nurses focus on the patient’s needs in nursing. Better patient care decisions also save nurse time. It also benefits nursing by keeping practice current and relevant, increasing nurses’ confidence and decision-making skills, and contributing to the science of the profession. It helps promote and deliver high-quality, safe, and improved outcomes for the patient, your workplace, and your own career to guide nursing practice; it can also serve as an evaluation tool for self and colleagues to ensure clinical safety and proficiency.
